Heart Shaped Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Isn’t this strawberry upside down cake just the most darling yet sexy thing ever?

When I bought this super heart shaped cake pan from Sur La Table last month, I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for.  I love an upside down cake but one with heart shaped strawberries really tugs at my, well, heart strings.  And adding the arrow to the cake was a sweet touch too. Seriously I can’t stop staring at this adorable heart shaped strawberry upside down cake (mouth full I know!).

With so many amazing recipes out there, I am seriously considering staying at home for Valentine’s Day this year to make a special menu for my hubby.  I am sure anyone would feel insanely loved after having a piece of this sexy cake (listening out there Shine Super Club?).

    • You could definitely try another yogurt and see how it turns out. I would suggest sour cream as a replacement however. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet compliment!!

  9. Pictures look great. Can’t wait to makr this for my husband on Valentine’s Day. However, I was wondering if you put the two cakes on top of each other or just keep it as two separate cakes?

    • Jocelyn (Grandbaby Cakes) says:

Hi Stacey, do you mean you want to bake them together? That would change the baking time considerably. I can’t wait to see how it turns out for you!
