Pink Lemonade Floats

lemonade floats

My birthday is tomorrow and I figured I needed pink lemonade floats to celebrate.  I can’t believe how quickly time passes when you get older.  As I get ready to turn 32 tomorrow, I realize that my tastes have changed.

I no longer need a lot to please me.  It is the simple pleasures in life that really mean a lot to me.  I realized that more than anything, I just wanted rest this birthday.  I didn’t want to spend a ton of time preparing some elaborate dessert or fancy pants cake.  As Sweet Brown would say, “Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That!”

I just want simple things like pink lemonade floats.  I have made a few floats on this blog like this one and even this one but what I love about this treat is how simple and refreshing it is.  It doesn’t require a lot of hoopla or time.  It made me pucker in a great way.  It made me relax and it reminded me of good ole times in the south sitting on a porch in the summer. Nowadays, that’s pretty perfect to me.

  1. You know what I love most about this blog? Other than how wonderful the recipes are, and how amazing your photo skills are getting? I love that when people give tips or suggestions you gladly post them. Remember when you asked everyone on Facebook what we would like to see for summer? I said something lemony, something berry, something icey, and something fluffy and I think you have already covered all three. I cannot wait to try this FLOAT! You rock, Jocelyn!
