I’ve got a great recipe on BHG’s Delish Dish today: Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese. I didn’t initially plan on using a crock pot for this recipe but as life turns out, it became my only option since my oven decided to stop working (crazy right?).
Well let me just say that this turned out to be a good thing rather than a bad one. I loved how great this macaroni and cheese turned out. I have never worked so little in my life for something to be so good. I think that’s the best thing about owning a crock pot. You simply do the least amount of work possible and the results make you look like a Top Chef.
What a difference a slow cooker can make in your day. I have no idea why I don’t utilize mine more but that is all going to change and soon too. I now have a list of at least 10 recipes that I want to try in my slow cooker now that winter is alive and well a bit ahead of its time in good ole Chicago.
What I loved about this recipe in the slow cooker was that it really resembles a baked macaroni and cheese like the one I grew up loving. The cheeses, pasta and sauce just blend together into a perfect custardy beauty as if they were made together in the first place. And the topping of cheese and toasted panko crumbs is sooo good yall!
